What Is Faith?

Repent & Worship

At RAW Movement Ministries, faith is not passive. Faith is not religious routine. Faith is not emotional hype.

Faith is a response.

Faith is what happens when a heart encounters God, repents, and chooses to worship Him in spirit and truth.

Faith Is the Foundation

The New Living Translation says:

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”— Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

Faith makes the unseen Kingdom real in our daily lives.

At RAW, we believe faith is the bridge between brokenness and restoration. It is how the wounded become healed, the addicted become free, and the lost find purpose.

Faith Begins with Repentance

Before faith moves mountains, it transforms hearts.

Jesus preached:

“Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”— Matthew 4:17 (NLT)

Faith says:

• I turn from my old life.

• I surrender control.

• I trust God’s way over my own.

Repentance is not shame — it is alignment.

At RAW Movement Ministries, we believe faith without repentance is incomplete. True faith changes direction.

Faith Expresses Itself Through Worship

Faith doesn’t stop at belief — it bows.

“God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”— John 4:24 (NLT)

Worship is not just music. Worship is obedience. Worship is surrender. Worship is saying, “God, You are worthy,” even when life feels unstable.

Faith fuels worship. Worship strengthens faith.

Faith in the Fire

Many who come to RAW know what it feels like to walk through trauma, addiction, loss, or betrayal.

But Scripture reminds us:

“When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy… For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”— James 1:2–3 (NLT)

Faith does not deny the fire. Faith trusts God in the fire.

The testimony of RAW is this: Jesus still delivers. Jesus still restores. Jesus still sets captives free.

Faith Saves and Sustains

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”— Ephesians 2:8 (NLT)

We are not saved by performance. We are saved by grace through faith.

And once saved, faith sustains us through every season.

Growing Faith the RAW Way

“So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.”— Romans 10:17 (NLT)

At RAW Movement Ministries, we grow faith through:

• Biblical truth (the Word speaks for itself)

• Accountability

• Strong boundaries

• Trauma-informed discipleship

• Worship-centered gatherings

• Repentance that leads to restoration

Faith is not fragile — it grows stronger when it is rooted in truth.

The RAW Call

Faith is not about pretending you are strong. Faith is admitting you need God.

Faith says: “I am RAW — and I trust You.”
