My Story
The Birth of RAW
There was a season in my life when survival was all I knew.
I was homeless, living in a motel with my four children, doing everything I could to hold life together. I worked in security because I felt necessary. I carried responsibility heavily, determined to protect my family and never look weak.
But behind that strength, I was fighting battles no one could see.
During that season, I experienced a violent assault that left me physically injured and emotionally shattered. In one night, my sense of safety and belonging was ripped away. I made a decision then that I would never be powerless again.
I worked my way into becoming an officer. I carried authority. I carried a weapon. I built walls. I refused to be afraid.
But strength is not the same as healing.
No matter how strong I became, I was still carrying pain. Trauma had hardened me. Survival had become my identity.
And in a moment of complete exhaustion, I cried out to God.
“I am raw.”
I wasn’t thinking about ministry. I wasn’t building a brand. I was broken. Exposed. Honest before Him.
And the Lord answered me with two words:
Repent. Worship.
Not repent because what happened was my fault. But repent from the hardness that pain had created in me. Repent from trusting my strength more than His presence.
And worship — not just with music, but with surrender. Worship as warfare. Worship as healing. Worship as complete dependence on Him.
That was the beginning of RAW.
RAW stands for Repent and Worship.
This ministry was not built on ambition. It was born from surrender.
Jesus didn’t just rescue me — He restored me. He transformed trauma into testimony. He turned survival into surrender. He replaced fear with purpose.
Today, RAW Movement Ministries exists to create a safe place for the broken, the addicted, the wounded, and the searching — a place where people can encounter the presence of God, experience repentance without shame, and worship their way into freedom.
If you are hurting, you belong here. If you feel exposed, exhausted, or unseen — you are not alone.
God meets us in our raw places. And He restores. I am so honored to help lead others to the place of redemption and restoration. This is where we can find covering in the unfailing Love of Christ. Be Blessed. Pastor Faith
